Built for professional vehicles
SafePerim® is a safety system that helps the driver detect traffic and people near the vehicle. When another truck with a SafePerim® base station approaches, the LED display and audible alert warn the driver, and up to 10 base units can be installed on one vehicle. With active UWB tags, the system also detects people moving near the vehicle.
The base station is installed on the vehicle roof with the cable outlet facing rearwards, while the LED display is positioned in the cab.
Three individually adjustable warning zones show distance and direction: green for the outer zone, yellow for the middle zone and red for close proximity. The nearest indicator flashes and the display shows distance in metres or feet. The audible alert has four volume settings, including mute. Two external alarm outputs are provided: one activates in the yellow or red zone and the other in the red zone.
The system is intended as a driver aid for low-speed applications and does not replace driver awareness or safe driving. A clear path between the base station and tag provides the best accuracy; metal and other obstructions may affect positioning.
