    The basics

    What is TotalView® 360°?

TotalView® is Safe Driving’s 360° platform. Four or six wide-angle cameras are placed around the vehicle and a control unit stitches the images into one overview – a bird view (surround view) on the in-cab touch display.

The entire current generation is 1080P and comes in two versions: 360° AI with an external ECU, and 360° 3D with the ECU built into the monitor. Display size, camera count and 4G are chosen to suit the vehicle.

How the TotalView® bird view works

    Bird view

The camera images are combined into one overhead view around the vehicle.

    Fewer blind spots

Areas outside the driver’s direct view become visible when manoeuvring and reversing.

    1080P

The entire current TotalView® generation is delivered in 1080P – a clearer image than older 720P kits.

    Built for commercial vehicles

Trucks, buses, construction and special vehicles – in 7" or 10.1" with 4 or 6 cameras.

    How a TotalView® 360° system is built

Every complete system includes monitor, control unit, cameras and cabling – calibration is done on the vehicle at installation.

    In-cab touch monitor

Touch display in 7" and 10.1" – with built-in ECU or as a display for an external ECU.

    Control unit (ECU)

Stitches the camera images into the bird view. External ECU for AI, DVR and 4G – integrated ECU for a compact installation.

    Four to six cameras

Wide-angle 1080P cameras are mounted front, rear and on the sides. Six cameras are used on longer and wider vehicles.

    Calibration on the vehicle

The image is calibrated against the vehicle’s dimensions using calibration mats so the bird view is accurate.

The components are also available separately – 4 monitors and 1 cameras in the TotalView® range.
